#3008 "Snow Laden White Spruce"

#3008 "Snow Laden White Spruce"
8 X 10 (inches).
10:30 am Sunday, March 8th, 2026.

It was another windy and wet day, but I had a mate for #3007 "Happy Winter Trails" in my plans. There were still plenty of the right colours on my palette. There were a few springtails mixed in with the oils for texture.

It was a snowy winter, and the Singleton forest provided a lot of inspiration. The spruce and pine plantations were often heavily laden with fresh, white snow. I liked how the light was filtered through the snow-laden boughs.

That snow load melted just a couple of days later.

Warmest regards, and keep your paddle in the water,

Phil Chadwick
