I described my motivation for participating in the 24th Official International Plein Air Painters Worldwide Paint Out in #3041 "September Morn Ancient Red Cedars". That is something I have done every year in remembrance of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City.
It was great to get outside again after a summer of intense heat, humidity and wildfire smoke. The following data reveals that the conditions we experienced were also felt around the world. Billions of observations go into making this simple graph.
Standing quietly on the edge of an ancient cedar grove on a rocky marble point can be very strong medicine for anything that might ail you. Turning off the noise of news, helps as well.
