#0182 "Ontario - 1939"

An old 1939 Ontario Vehicle License Plate that was tacked to the south wall of Henry Bond's Sugar Shack just north of Athens, Ontario in the spring of 1988. It had been there for years as evidenced by its condition. I was struck by the year - just prior to World War II. The plate number is "795N8 Ontario-1939". Maybe it is still there.

My Dad made the stretcher bars from the back post of our home of East Avenue. There is a lot of history and memories in this painting. I was early in my artistic journey.
